Does Printhead replace my existing MIS?

No - and it's not designed to. Printhead runs alongside your MIS and handles the calculations, data formatting and workflow tasks that a job management system wasn't built for. Think of it as the toolbox that sits next to your MIS on every desk.

Do I need to install anything?

Nothing at all. Printhead runs entirely in the browser - desktop, tablet or phone. No downloads, no plugins, no IT department involvement. If you can open a webpage, you can use Printhead.

Are multiple accounts necessary?

No. Most modules process data as temporary sessions, visible only to the active user, so multiple team members can work simultaneously without conflict. Shared data, such as core account settings, driver routing, saved address labels and roll data is stored permanently and accessible to all users with account access, which is intentional by design.

What type of print businesses is it suited to?

Printhead has been built for commercial print environments of all kinds - wide format, sheetfed, digital, trade print, sign and display. If your team produces and despatches printed work, the modules will be relevant.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Printhead is a month-to-month subscription with no long-term commitment. Your subscription includes full access to 45+ modules, and you can cancel at any time. Are new modules added over time?

A fast, browser-based PDF editor, toolkit and preflight built for print production. Private and local: files never leave your browser.

Pages
Drag to reorder, rotate, delete and undo/redo. Select all, odd or even pages. Insert blank pages, common fronts/backs, or picked pages from another PDF. Duplicate as collated, uncollated simplex or uncollated duplex sets.

Inspect & Preflight
See media, trim and bleed sizes, image resolution, colour spaces, spot colours, overprint, transparency and layers. Get warnings for mixed sizes or orientation, missing bleed, unembedded fonts and non-standard formats.

Size & Bleed
Crop to media, trim or bleed box, an inset, or an exact mm size. Set trim and bleed boxes with optional trim marks. Resize by percentage or ISO steps. Add bleed as flat vector colour or mirrored artwork.

Colour & Cutting (new)
Convert 100K black to rich black (artwork, or artwork and fonts), or rich black back to 100K, with a custom CMYK mix. Find and remove existing cut paths, then add a CutContour spot line at any box or inset. Mirror pages for reverse printing and back-cutting. Flatten to CMYK or RGB at 72–600 dpi, and rotate for top-bound saddle stitch.

Output
Save, print, extract selected pages, or split into single pages or duplex pairs. Create a client approval or job sheet from your artwork, with labelled proofs and a sign-off block.
